Taylor Swift fans were super excited for the launch of Taylor Swift’s The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore tracks…👀
But the internet is FILLED with disappointment, especially over her new song “Cleveland!” which features the lyrics: “You only need to find one person in this entire world who doesn’t find you completely insufferable/And I have an important announcement to make/I found mine!”
On Twitter, fans reacted,
“I’m actually f*cking crying this is a new low even for her.”
“the good people of cleveland don’t deserve this they already have to watch the browns”
“I will praise her for capturing the essence of cleveland ohio in a song (derogatory)”
“this sounds like royalty feee music a local small business would use for a sponsored ad.”
“this is truly a bad day for knowing how to read I envy you travis kelce”
Even “The Swiftologist”—a well-known pop music critic— referred to the city-based song as “petulant” and “petty.”
So ummmm…Cleveland might deserve an apology based on these reactions…🙃
