Taylor Swift is rocking a totally different engagement ring in promotional imagery for her upcoming single. On September 22, the singer surprised fans by announcing the release of “Patient Zero” later this week.
“I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post shared earlier today.

Swift is also selling three different “Patient Zero” collector’s edition CDs, each of which features different cover art. In one variation, she noticeably swapped out her old mine-cut engagement ring: The custom Kindred Lubeck bauble, which her now-husband Travis Kelce proposed with in August 2025, weighs around 10 carats and is worth approximately $1 million.
Instead, Swift appeared to wear an emerald-cut diamond on a silver, platinum, or white gold band, as opposed to her ring’s yellow gold setting.

Since marrying Kelce, Swift has upgraded her ring stack, adding a $16,000 diamond-encrusted eternity band to the mix. She flashed the new addition at her husband’s first football game of the season on September 14, where she was caught on camera twirling it around her ring finger.
As for her outfit, Swift stuck to the Chiefs’s color palette of red and white, opting for a gingham polo dress designed by her bestie Gigi Hadid’s brand, Guest in Residence.
