Serena Williams Stuns in Bold Red LaQuan Smith Dress Ahead of Met Gala
Tennis icon Serena Williams has once again commanded global attention after stepping out in a daring red LaQuan Smith gown during a high-profile pre-Met Gala event in New York City.
The 44-year-old star made a striking appearance at an exclusive dinner hosted by fashion powerhouse Anna Wintour, wearing a custom-designed sequined dress that featured a dramatic thigh-high slit. The bold outfit highlighted her toned physique and instantly became one of the most talked-about looks of the evening.
Williams completed the glamorous look with black pointed-toe heels and minimal accessories, allowing the eye-catching gown to take centre stage. Her platinum-blonde hairstyle and subtle makeup added to the overall elegance of the appearance.
The outfit, created by renowned designer LaQuan Smith, reflects a signature style known for celebrating bold, figure-hugging silhouettes and confident femininity.
However, as images from the event spread online, reactions were divided. While many fans praised her confidence and fashion-forward approach, others criticised the look as overly revealing, sparking debate across social media platforms.
Williams attended the event in support of her sister Venus Williams, who is serving as a co-chair for the 2026 Met Gala. The appearance has further heightened anticipation for the main event, where Serena is expected to make yet another memorable fashion statement.
