Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian hits back at ‘idiots’ accusing tennis champion of skin bleaching…
Serena Williams’ husband, tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, has come out strongly in defense of the tennis legend after online critics accused her of skin bleaching.
The accusations, which circulated on social media following recent public appearances by Serena, sparked outrage among fans and commentators alike. Ohanian did not hold back, calling the accusers “idiots” and condemning the ignorance behind the claims.
He emphasized that changes in lighting, makeup, photography, and natural skin tone variations over time are often misunderstood and weaponized against Black women in the public eye.
In his response, Ohanian highlighted a broader issue of colorism and the unfair scrutiny Serena has faced throughout her career, both on and off the court.
He praised his wife’s confidence, authenticity, and pride in her identity, reminding critics that Serena has always been outspoken about self-love and representation.
Supporters rallied behind the couple, applauding Ohanian for using his platform to shut down harmful narratives and stand firmly against baseless attacks rooted in prejudice rather than facts.
