Prince Harry is Britons’ second most popular choice to become next monarch despite his explosive attacks

Prince Harry is the second most popular choice to become the next monarch, according to a new survey.

Despite several explosive attacks on the monarchy, the Duke of Sussex ranks ahead of the majority of the Royal Family.

Prince William was the most popular choice to eventually take over from King Charles.

The Prince of Wales is currently first in line to the throne and is already set to be his father’s successor.

Participants in the survey were asked, “Which Royal would you like to see take on the role of King or Queen next?”.

The full results are listed below:

Prince William (47.5 per cent)
Prince Harry (8.8 per cent)
Kate, Princess of Wales (6.6 per cent)
Princess Anne (4.3 per cent)
Meghan Markle (2.7 per cent)
Prince Edward (2.1 per cent)
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh (1.8 per cent)
Princess Eugenie (1.7 per cent)
Zara Tindall (1.6 per cent)
Princess Beatrice (1.5 per cent)

The survey was carried out by Betfair Bingo and involved 2,006 UK adults.

It comes as the Royal Family’s decision to grant Archie and Lilibet royal titles has been backed in a seperate bombshell poll.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s children were made Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex earlier this month.

The move has been backed by US citizens in a survey.

Over half of Americans (53 per cent) said their children should have the right to the titles, according to polling by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek.

While 15 per cent said the children should not have been given the titles.

Fourteen per cent did not know whether it was the right decision and 18 per cent said they did not care regarding Archie and Lilibet’s new titles.
