CELEBRITY
As expected, Trump stole the show. He took his time to showcase his power and, in the process, seemed to trample on the reputation and dignity of other nations present at the United Nations General Assembly. I wasn’t surprised when I learned that Vladimir Putin of Russia and Xi Jinping of China weren’t going to be present yet again. None of these guys, I bet, would be willing to stand there and have the boisterous Trump spit in their faces. He went on to threaten to “annihilate” Iran if it refuses to compromise. Love him or hate him, Trump has mastered the art of commanding attention. Whether that attention translates into diplomacy, respect, or lasting solutions is an entirely different question.
