President Donald Trump’s administration has secured an agreement involving U.S.

Majority control of access to more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves, according to the White House.

The agreement covers 17 oil fields and is being presented by the Trump administration as a major step toward strengthening U.S.

Energy security and expanding oil production.
