Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce is reportedly looking to extend his business ventures overseas. Kelce is exploring the possibility of purchasing a winery in northern Italy with his mother, Donna Kelce.
“Travis is always looking to diversify his portfolio of investments,” an insider told the US Sun on Wednesday.
“On his next trip to Italy Donna will probably go with him. She dreams of being involved in the wine industry and that’s why Travis is pushing ahead with this. He wants to make her happy.”
The outlet reported that Kelce and his advisors have been actively engaging with key figures in the wine industry to explore starting their own business.
Loved Italy in recent trip
The three-time Super Bowl champion was reportedly captivated by the Italian countryside during a recent trip to visit his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who was on the European leg of her Eras Tour.
Kelce’s team has been in negotiations with multiple owners and investors, with a potential investment figure of around $3.5 million being discussed.
“Many people in the industry have been talking to them and would love to be business partners with the Kelce family,” the source added.
“They see just how famous Travis has become, being one of the faces in the NFL and Taylor becoming the most famous singer in the world.”
