The Chiefs started off their 2024 season with a win.
Travis Kelce’s haircut, though, was not receiving a winning grade.
The Chiefs star tight end was getting in his warmups in on the field ahead of Thursday night’s thrilling victory in the season opener against the Ravens — and without a helmet on, both his hair and face were in full view.
Kelce, 34, is sporting a thick mustache and a haircut that resembles something like a bowl cut in the front with more of a straightforward haircut in the back these days.
Whatever the look he was actually going for, NFL social media was largely critical of his cut, trolling him in the process.
“We’re not sure who wins tonight’s game. But we know Travis Kelce’s haircut lost,” wrote one X account.
“Travis Kelce went to the barber and said just f–k me up,” wrote another.”
Another user went as far as to say Kelce looked like a character from the cult classic 2004 film, “Napoleon Dynamite.”
“Travis Kelce got that Uncle Rico ass haircut to beat the woke allegations,” they wrote on X.
“Did Travis Kelce PAY for that haircut?” asked another.
Social media was not short on hyperbole.
“Travis Kelce’s haircut may be the worst mens cut of all time. What the f–k is that?”
Whether the haircut was approved by Taylor Swift remains to be seen, but the pop star was in attendance on Thursday to support her three-time Super Bowl champion boyfriend.
She didn’t change much with her hair cut, but she did come in with denim outfit to pair with thigh-high red boots.
Kelce did grab three catches for 34 yards in the win.
