Fans of Jason and Travis Kelce were thrilled to see their mother arrive at the University of Cincinnati ahead of a scheduled live event for the brothers’ New Heights podcast.
A photo that the podcast’s official X account shared with fans online showed Donna Kelce at the Fifth Third Arena hours before the show was due to start on Thurs., April 11.
“Mama Kelce wouldn’t miss her boys’ first arena show,” the show’s tweet said, adding red and green hearts as a nod to Travis’ NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason retired from the NFL last month, ending his 13-season career in professional football.
In the photo, “Mama Kelce” stood on the arena floor wearing a black jacket that featured the Kansas City Chiefs lettering on the left arm. She held a tower of balloons in her right hand, a couple of which were in the shape and color of Chiefs and Eagles jerseys. At the top of the tower floated a heart-shaped pink balloon that hailed Donna, 71, as the “world’s best mom.”
Several fans called Donna a “rockstar,” “queen” and “national treasure” as they left comments on the post, with many also declaring her the “best mom ever.”
“They have [a] great mom, she really has done a great job raising both boys,” one X user wrote.
“It’s always good to see such a deserving mom getting so much appreciation from her sons,” another fan said. “You guys are setting the bar high for how men should treat the women in their lives & I love it so much.”
Travis, 34, and Jason, 36, revealed in mid-March that they would be returning to their alma mater for the April 11 live show, an announcement that generated significant fan excitement on social media. Having launched in 2022, New Heights is still a relatively new podcast. Even so, it has amassed an expansive fanbase in its first couple of years and picked up several nominations during the 2024 awards season.
