The New York Giants are currently leading the Philadelphia Eagles 24-0 at halftime in Sunday’s Week 18 clash at MetLife Stadium as Philly quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver AJ Brown are out of the game with injury.
Hurts, 25, momentarily walked off the field with a gruesome finger injury before promptly returning to throw an interception. He was then replaced by Marcus Mariota, who threw a pick on his first pass attempt.
Brown, 26, suffered a knee injury earlier in the game after fumbling the football. He left to the locker room and will not return to play.
The Eagles entered the contest with everything to play for, specifically the No. 2 seed in the NFC, while the Giants were already eliminated from playoff contention.
One of the funniest plays in NFL history
Everything is going right for the Giants, even on special teams, with an Eagles punt turning into one of the funniest plays in NFL history.
Giants linebacker Cam Brown bumped Eagles punter Braden Mann after a punt and held him up when the latter tried to flop.
While some could argue Brown still deserved a flag for roughing the kicker, it made for a hilarious blooper, especially because it worked.
