Her absence was justified, though- the singer’s movie ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ has been nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, together with other blockbuster movies such Barbie, Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse, and John Wick: Chapter 4, among others.
Swift’s absence was felt in the VIP boxes which were unusually quiet for Sunday night’s game and the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer’s decision to prioritize the Golden Globes was also felt by her new ‘bestie’ Brittany Mahomes.
In the past few months since Taylor started dating Travis, her and Brittany have been inseparable, watching games together virtually every week together. The new friendship has produced some memorable moments, from viral celebrations to getting together in the singer’s New York apartment to cheer their partners on.
On Sunday, fans observed that Brittany looked detached and was not ‘shining’ like she usually does in the presence of Swift, looking far less animated than usual. Her outfit even reflected that; she wore all black, pairing her jeans with a denim jacket and boots. She wore a white top underneath.
Swift and Mahomes will undoubtedly be reunited for the NFL Super Wild Card Round on January 13, when the Chiefs will take on the Miami Dolphins.
